Recording device screen video in Lumox

Start and stop recording

  • Click the record button in the device toolbar, or
  • Press ⇧⌘R (Mac) / Ctrl+Shift+R (Windows/Linux)

Click the button again (or use the same shortcut) to stop. The file appears in the Media Library.

What gets recorded

Lumox records the composed view: device screen, bezels, background, and status bar styling — exactly what you see in the mirror window.

Recording in fullscreen

For multi-device demos and recordings with custom backgrounds, use fullscreen mode instead. See Recording in fullscreen.

Frame rate

Recordings follow the mirror stream quality — up to 60 fps when the connection and device support it.
