System requirements

macOS

• Operating system: macOS 13 (Ventura) or later recommended
• Architecture: Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3/M4) — current releases are built for arm64
• Disk space: ~400 MB for the app; additional space for screenshots and recordings in the Media Library

Mobile devices

• iPhone / iPad: Any device that supports AirPlay screen mirroring to a Mac on the same Wi‑Fi network
• Android: Cast-compatible devices (Google Cast) where supported
• No app on phone: Lumox receives the stream on your Mac — you do not install anything on the mobile device

Network

• iPhone, iPad, and Mac on the same Wi‑Fi network (or compatible subnet)
• Local Network permission enabled for Lumox in System Settings (required for AirPlay discovery)
• Corporate or guest networks that block device-to-device traffic may prevent mirroring — try a personal hotspot or home network if connection fails

Recommended for best quality

• Stable Wi‑Fi (5 GHz preferred for lower latency)
• Mac with Apple Silicon for smooth mirroring up to 60 fps and 4K where the source device supports it
